She was scared, but she was trying to act normal. It was not easy. Everyone appeared to be staring at her as if they knew. She recalled her last encounter with her cousin, Shonnel, and how terrified she had become.
Shonnel in her blunt and tactless manner had given a long-side- long look and blurted out,
"Rhonda, you looking as if you pregnant. You didn't do nothing, though?"
And as usual she did not wait for a response but went into the latest gossip about the twin sisters caught shop-lifting underwear.
Rhonda was grateful for the diversion t make her escape. Her older sister and the three cousins had merely glanced in her direction before becoming engrossed in the shop-lifting story.
Kim, the youngest of the group had recently turned sixteen and was a friend of the twins. She showed he loyalty to her friends by denying Shonnel's story.
"How they know that Shanta and Shantell steal the panties?
They found them on the girls?"
"Yes, my dear", laughed Shonnel. "They had them on, and quite a few, too!"
"What an embarrassment! I can't believe that", remarked Tonia
"But, but how did the store people know?", eagerly inquired Kim.
"Girl, they caught them on camera", boldly stated Shonnel.
"What?", the girls asked in unison.
"Children, children, simmer down", smiled Shonnel, even if they were all about the same age.
"Those young folks were not aware that technology had come to our country, and that Mopson's had installed cameras and alarms throughout their store. So they were caught on camera covering their bodies with a number of little pieces of Victoria's Secrets."
Kim finally had to accept the story.
