"Hold you? Hold You? Hold you for what?" screamed Tina in her loud irritating voice as she stood in front of Sebastian.
"To marry you!", shouted her husband angrily. Normally he is afraid of his wife, but not today. He was tired of the beatings and abuse and with a few drinks in his stomach he had found the courage to stand up to her.
"But look at you! Tina retorted, somewhat disconcerted by Sebastian's new found boldness as well as his accusation.
"Hold you to marry me? Boy, check yourself. You is an idiot an ignoramus, you have no education. When a meet you, all you had was a old breakdown van that you stepfather, dead and leave for for you and you grandmother old falling down house. You didn't have nothing. You forget is me mother that used to take pity on you and give you something to eat? She even give you all me dead father clothes because she say that you is a nice fella always helpful and respectful.
Tina made a grab for Sebastian, but he agilely doged her groping hand as he scrambled out of the house and headed for the pickup truck in the yard.
He opened the door and dashed inside. The he remembered that he didn't have the keys, they were on the dining table where he had placed them. Now Tina was rushing out the door, the rolling pin in her hand. How many times had he felt this instrumenr on his arms, stomach, back even his head!
